Bio
From her first taste of drama as Angel #1 in Infants’ School, to her current training at ALRA, Juliet has played lead and supporting roles in a career which has covered a wide range. In the UK this has included musicals - Black Heroes in the Hall of Fame, which toured the UK and Rainbow Uprising at the Lillian Baylis Theatre, Sadler’s Wells. Juliet was the lead in Basin, Jacqueline Rudet's drama, which had a sold out extended run at The Blue Elephant Theatre in Camberwell, and also played at the Edinburgh Festival. Community involvement gave Juliet the opportunity to participate in physical theatre performances at the Royal Opera House and the National Theatre, and community choral work saw Juliet participate in the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. All these and more have given Juliet a rich grounding in her art.
When she moved to the Cayman Islands in 2008, Juliet joined both theatrical venues on the island starting in Cayman Drama Society’s (CDS) costume and props departments and then, as they became available, acting and directing classes.
Juliet came out from behind the scenes at CDS for musicals like Hairspray and RENT!, then for dramas such as Sistahs, the annual outdoor Shakespeare Festival and for children’s theatre such as Fairy Tale Shorts and the annual Playhouse Family Christmas. Juliet was also voted onto CDS’s Production Committee.
At Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF) Juliet was an integral part of their annual comedy sketch production of Rundown, and witnessed her performing in dramas such as Doubt.
Juliet was a long serving member of the Cayman National Choir and was a founding member of the Cayman Islands Folk Singers. Before she left Grand Cayman in 2019 Juliet played Martha in the short film After Work which was nominated in the comedy award categories of two international festivals. She also played Ingrid in Secrets which was also nominated for a drama short award. Juliet has voiced advertisements, as well as recorded meditations and yoga nidra sessions for wellness clients.
Since her return to England in 2019, Juliet has been enrolled on a Professional Acting Master’s programme at ALRA, where she continues to hone her craft.
